Repair Chkdsk
Errors
Chkdsk errors come about from issues with the hard disk or
problems with a damaged Windows registry. The Chkdsk or Check
Disk is used by a computer to make sure that there is no
physical or data damage to the hard drive.
Chkdsk errors therefore can come about from problems with
the Chkdsk program, as well as registry issues; as such there
are several possible solutions.
- Disk Cleanup - The first thing to be
tried is a Disk Cleanup, which can be done by following the
path below –
Click Start >> Programs >>
Accessories >> System Tools >> Disk Cleanup
>> Run
- Defrag – Conducting a defrag may also
solve the problem –
Click Start >> Programs >>
Accessories >> System Tools >> Disk
Defragmenter >> Run
- Run a Registry Cleaner – The best
registry repair programs will be able to scan through the
whole of the Windows registry, and identify errors and
corrupted files that may be impacting on the chkdsk
program.
There are many good registry repair programs available for
purchase. The best though is RegCure by ParetoLogic. RegCure is
very thorough in its ability to scan and fix all errors, not
just the Chkdsk errors, as our extensive testing has shown.
